Among all of his other talents, David Deusner is also very handy with DIY. As a boy, he was always looking for DIY projects to do around his house and yard.
He and his dad tackled many projects that others would have chosen to leave to the professionals for fear of making a mess. Not David and his Dad, they saw it as a challenge, a way to learn something new, and if they did mess up, and sometimes they did, they just tried again and looked at their mistakes as a learning experience. Some of their more successful projects were a treehouse, a kitchen table, which was bigger than they really needed and a bit wobbly, but David’s mother used it anyway, and a bookcase which they made for David’s sister.
But David’s DIY talents did not end there. He also helped his mother create a beautiful flower garden in their front yard and he was very good at it. Somehow, David just knew which flowers went best next to one another and which bushes would complete the look. His mother got compliments from everyone in the neighborhood.
Today, he shares his DIY talents with his wife and kids at his own home. He made his kids a treehouse too, but with one major improvement, his treehouse is inside their home in the children’s playroom. David and his wife also made a beautiful flower garden in their yard, and he also added a firepit and kitchen center to his backyard. He even found a way to combine his love for photography with his DIY nature and created a special wall in his home with framed photos of pictures he has taken of his family, especially his children. In his upcoming projects, he is hoping to make a platform bed for his son and do some tape painting to create a colorful art wall for his daughter who has seemed to inherit his love for creating. For David Deusner, there really is no project too big or too small for David to consider doing. He enjoys doing it and loves to see the smiles on his loved one’s faces.
